About us

Welcome to Creative Republic Dance Academy! We are a family of passionate, hardworking people driven to create wonderful dance experiences that foster confidence and happiness in our dancers! We are creative, honest, and process-oriented in our development and delivery of quality dance education. To that end, we strive to build a positive, nurturing environment at every class. The personal attention we give to every student and our attention to detail is unique to CRDA's studio culture.
Our attention to detail extends beyond the dance floor into every aspect of Creative Republic- from classes, to performing, to creating unique dance experiences and quality customer service to our dance families- everything we do is motivated by a love for what we do and for the ones we teach!

Our Mission

We are dedicated to drawing out each child's creativity and enhancing it. Our focus on technique and musicality teaches children, not just a dance, but how to dance, so that students come away with visible improvement that builds confidence in their unique selves!
Our mission is leading dancers on a journey of self expression, artistry, and technical development brimming with wonder and creativity! We strive to infuse our values into aspect of the studio experience, building a Creative Republic that is united in creativity, passion, self expression, movement, and dance!

-Scholarship Program
Since day one, we at CRDA have been actively committed to providing dance scholarships to children of low income families who otherwise would not be able to dance. The Creative Republic Dance Academy Scholarship Program began simultaneously with the founding of our studio, and provides the baseline for our efforts to bring dance to all children! Through fundraising, we have been able to obtain the funds necessary to provide multiple dance scholarships to children each year! For more information on CRDA's Scholarship Program, to find out if your child could benefit from it, or to learn how you can help, please contact us.

-Lovely Swans Program
We believe in fostering kindness and a strong sense of community, both on the dance floor and off . To further community outreach among our students, CRDA began the Lovely Swans Program! We encourage our students to participate in the program's various projects that give back to our community throughout the dance season. We also make it our aim to involve as many students as possible in community dancing each year by performing for local nursing homes, schools, and centers! It's our desire that these projects will help engender in our students some of the core values that make a community thrive, to help them connect with others, and to open their eyes to the world around them. All dancers at CRDA are welcome and encouraged to be Lovely Swans in our community!

Autumn Cantrell- Owner, Teacher
Ms. Autumn fell in love with dance at age 11 and has been inseparable from the art form ever since! Her passion is for classical ballet. She trained under Marilyn Cloutier- former dancer with the American Ballet Theater, choreographer and producer- before opening Creative Republic Dance Academy with Ms. Suzanne in 2016. She is a certified toddler and preschool dance instructor in the Once Upon A ballet methodology, which unifies child developmental science with dance to bring movements to the classroom that enhance cognitive skills, brain-body connections, and critical and creative thinking in children. She believes that to be a good teacher you can never stop learning! She continues to dance every day, learn at every opportunity, and constantly seeks new sources of inspiration and creativity to bring to her classes, choreography and students!

Suzanne Witt- Artistic Director
Ms. Suzanne began dancing at 4 years of age and dance has been an integral part of her life ever since!
"I ate, slept, and breathed dance!" she says. She opened her own studio in Georgia and taught ballet, tap, funk jazz and creative movement for some years before taking time away to raise a family. She thrives on all things creative, and takes the artistic leadership behind CRDA's fun photo shoots, costume design, set design, and graphic designs! In the studio, you'll often find her sketching, sewing and designing for whatever project or performance we have in the works!

Kari Hunter Juday
Ms. Hunter has been dancing since she was 3 years old and is skilled in a variety of dance styles! She's taught a broad range of ages, from 18 months to 18 years. She has headed jazz, ballet, pre-pointe, pointe and hip hop programs. She has co-directed Nutcracker performances, choreographed company musicals such as Hairspray, High-School Musical and Frozen, and choreographed competition ensembles for three years running. She's also choreographed for Middle School dance teams and cheer, High School dance drama and High School Cheer. She's a positive, motivating and nurturing force in our Creative Republic!
